Plant Identification Information: If you use AI-assisted herbal plant identification, the app may process plant photos, related prompts, notes, saved identification history, or similar information you choose to submit or save. This information may be used to provide possible plant identification suggestions and educational herbal or botanical information.
Location or Photo Metadata: Some photos may contain location-related metadata depending on your device settings. Elemental Survivalist does not require precise location data for basic plant identification unless a specific app feature clearly requests it and you grant permission. You can manage camera, photo, and location permissions through your device settings.

3. Camera Access, Photo Uploads, and AI-Assisted Herbal Plant Identification
The Elemental Survivalist app may include an AI-assisted herbal plant identification feature. This feature is designed to help users learn more about plants, herbs, and natural surroundings by submitting a photo for educational analysis.
Camera access is only requested when you choose to use a feature that requires taking a photo or uploading an image. We do not access your camera without your permission, and we do not use your camera in the background.
When you use the plant identification feature, you may choose to take or upload a photo of a plant. That image may be processed to provide an AI-assisted identification or educational response. Depending on how the app is configured, plant photos may be processed temporarily, saved to your account if you choose to save them, or retained for a limited time for security, troubleshooting, or app improvement.
Plant photos may be used to:
Analyze visible plant characteristics.
Provide possible plant identification suggestions.
Offer educational herbal, botanical, or preparedness-related information.
Improve app functionality, safety, troubleshooting, and user experience.
Maintain security and prevent misuse.
We do not use your plant photos to personally identify you unless you choose to include personal information in the image, file name, notes, account content, or related app activity.
AI-assisted plant identification is not guaranteed to be accurate. Plant identification can be affected by lighting, angle, plant age, season, region, image quality, look-alike species, toxic plants, hybrid species, and other factors.
The app’s AI-assisted identification results are provided for educational and informational purposes only. You should not eat, ingest, harvest, prepare, apply, sell, give to another person, give to an animal, or use any wild plant, herb, mushroom, berry, root, bark, seed, flower, or natural material based only on an AI-generated identification.
Before using any plant for food, medicine, first aid, foraging, herbal preparation, animal care, or survival use, you should verify identification through multiple reliable sources and, when appropriate, consult a qualified herbalist, botanist, foraging expert, healthcare professional, local extension office, poison control resource, or other qualified professional.
The Elemental Survivalist app does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, emergency advice, toxicology evaluation, or professional foraging certification.
If you believe you, a child, another person, or an animal has been exposed to a poisonous plant, mushroom, berry, herb, or other natural substance, seek immediate professional assistance from emergency services, Poison Control, a healthcare provider, veterinarian, or another qualified professional.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:
Service Providers: Trusted partners who help us operate our website, app, store, email communications, analytics, hosting, customer support, or payment processing.
Payment Processors: Third-party payment providers that process purchases securely on our behalf.
